Audio Visual Account Manager

System Source, a leading IT and AV consulting and integration firm in the Baltimore-Washington area, seeks an Audio-Visual Account Manager. A successful candidate will have audio-visual experience and can nurture customer relationships using a consultative approach. The Audio-Visual Account Manager will fulfill sales goals by providing client need analysis, basic system design, proposal generation and relationship management.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow existing account base through new client relationships
  • Increase sales for existing accounts
  • Assist with marketing
  • Consult with clients regarding system needs
  • Perform site surveys to gather information
  • Generate proposal documents
  • Keep up with market and technology trends

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Sales experience

Audio Visual Install Tech

System Source has an immediate opening for an experienced Audio-Visual Integration Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience installing & configuring permanent commercial AV systems, in-depth knowledge of AV Integration best practices and demonstrated outstanding client acumen.

Responsibilities:

  • Install permanent AV systems throughout the Baltimore & DC region in commercial locations
  • Field terminate Category, audio and video cables
  • Mount displays, projectors, screens, speakers, etc.… in accordance with local codes and industry best practices
  • Build and bench test AV racks before delivering to the client site.
  • Create support structures to properly mount ceiling mounted projection systems, displays and speakers
  • Conduct equipment testing and field troubleshooting to mitigate on-site issues.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • 3+ years of AV technology work experience
  • General knowledge of AV Integration best practices
  • General knowledge of creating support structures for large ceiling mounted projection screens, projectors, and displays
  • General knowledge of installing cabling in ceilings to local code
  • General knowledge of fishing walls, conduits, and cutting in low voltage devices
  • Basic understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office platform
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • CTS Certification
  • Basic Knowledge of IP Based Systems
  • Industry product certifications including but not limited to Crestron, Extron and Biamp

Audio Visual Sales Engineer

System Source, a 70-employee leading IT/AV consulting and integration firm, is searching for a seasoned Audio-Visual Systems Sales Engineer. This position requires extensive knowledge of the audio-visual market and the ability to design and document systems. The Audio-Visual Systems Engineer will provide sales support and project engineering services by assisting with client need analysis, system design, proposal generation, labor estimation, shop drawing creation, system testing and configuration. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support Account Executives with customer need analysis/site surveys
  • Participate in project meetings with clients, architect, and other stakeholders
  • Generate preliminary system design
  • Create bill of materials and scope of work for proposals
  • Generate project documentation, as-builts, and drawings
  • Commission systems
  • Assist with end-user training
  • Subject matter expert for after-project support
  • Keep up with market and technological trends
  • Support company training initiatives

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the commercial AV industry
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience configuring DSP platforms such as Biamp, BSS, Clear-One
  • Experience configuring UC platforms
  • Familiar with audio transport platforms such as AVB, Dante, Blu-Link, Cobra-Net
  • Experience configuring one or more video transport platforms such as Crestron NVX, AMX/SVSI, Extron, HDBaseT, etc.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting IP systems
  • Avixa CTS
  • Ongoing technical education through vendor and/or industry resources

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with D-Tools quoting platform
  • Control System programming such as Crestron, Extron, AMX
  • Avixa CTS-D
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field, or comparable experience
